Juniperus scopulorum
( Moonglow Juniper )

Emerald Green Arborvitae is a pyramidal arborvitae reaching 10-15 ft, with a spread of 3-4 ft. Bright, lustrous, deep green foliage with little or no discoloring in winter. Compact, dense growth.

Emerald Green Arborvitae, also known as "Smaragd". It grows almost perfectly pyramidal with almost no pruning at all. It has a very bright green color and appears to have a tinge of gold to it if the sun hits it just right.

This pyramidal beauty grows to a height of 10 to 15 feet, with a spread of 3 to 4 feet. It displays its bright lustrous emerald green color all year, and does not discolor in winter. Its very compact and tight grow make it an excellent choice for a screen when spaced 2 to 3 feet apart in the row.

Although not drought-tolerant, 'Emerald Green' arborvitae does fine in full sun (it doesn't mind partial shade, however). Grow in a well-drained soil.

Hardy to Zones 4 to 7
